1st Not, 2nd possible #502 Peter Ladermann's christening

Christened Sunday, 3 July [1701] from Weyer, [child #] 383 Peter
Parents:  Uli Laderman and Elsbeth Huber

Records found in Madiswyl, Bern, Switzerland Evangelisch-Reformierte Kirche Records of Taufen [christenings] 1664-1734.  LDS online image 87 of 176.

This Peter has a sibling Peter that was christened later, which alludes to him dying as a child.

The sibling Peter, was christened Sunday, 4 July [1706], from Weyer/Wayer.  He is also christened in the Madiswyl Church records.

Records found in Madiswyl, Bern, Switzerland Evangelisch-Reformierte Kirche Records of Taufen [christenings] 1664-1734.  LDS online image 96 of 176.

502. Another possible christening for Peter.

1705, Madiswil K4 page 181.

Sunday, 3 October, [1705], from Madisswil, [Bern, Switzerland], [child #] 478. Peter
Parents:  Peter Laderman and Maria ____.

(I have not researched the witnesses yet).

This is a a second possible parent of my Peter.
Mother:  Maria S_____

Records found in Madiswyl, Bern, Switzerland Evangelisch-Reformierte Kirche Records of Taufen [christenings] 1664-1734.  Also a copy from 2006 trip to Switzerland by Allyson (however these are better quality).    Taufen 1664-1734, Image 94 of 176.

251. Barbara Lädermann christening

At this point, I believe this to be my Barbara Lädermann, christened 24 April 1729 in Madiswyl, Bern, Switzerland.  She is the daughter of Peter and Anna Mägli.

#251 is the assigned number on my pedigree chart.  Barbara is the wife of  250. Hans Rudolph Fridli, of Bannwil, near Aarwangen, Bern, Switzerland.

They were married 17 Mar 1757 in Bannwil.

Records found in K4 Madiswyl, Bern, CH church records.  Originals are housed at the State Archives in Bern.

Death records, from Madiswil, give the death date of Jan 1789.  This is solid.
It also states that she was age 55, so she would have turned 56 on her birthday,
Conclusion is that she was born in 1733.  However, checking from 1727-1744 there is no other possible Barbara's (until 1744 which less likely than the 1729 Barbara.)

251 Barbara Lädermann's Siblings

Hans Lädermann, son of Peter Lädermann and Anna Mägli, was christened 24 April 1735 in the Evangelisch-Reformierte of Madiswil, Bern, Switzerland.  Witnesses are HansLädermann, Hans Huber and Elsbeth Hugi.

These images have been taken from the FamilySearch.org online records.  I also have copies of the records from Madiswil, however, mine are not as crisp as these K-4 christening records 1664-1734.

Elsbeth Lädermann, daughter of Peter Lädermann and Anna Mägli, was christened 23 [Feb 1738] in the Evangelisch-Reformierte of Madiswil, Bern, Switzerland.  One of the witnesses is Catherina Lädermann, relationship has not been discovered as of yet.

Peter, son of Peter Lädermann and Anna Mägli, was christened 5 February [1741] in the Evangelisch-Reformierte of Madiswil, Bern, Switzerland.

Peter Laederman and Anna Maegli Wedding

This is the church record for the marriage of Peter Laederman and Anna Maegli. It is from the Madiswil, Bern, Switzerland Church Records in book K-4, page 421. The original books are in the State Archive in Bern, Switzerland. I was so grateful that they allowed me to view some of the books of my family. I believe it was possible because the microfilm copy was not readable. Their entry is the bottom of the first column: dated 25 October 1726.
